 Tank,

You know my opinions about all this piracy in empire space milarky; my essay was pretty extensive. While you have some points (the overt reliance on concord being a bad thing) and the indestructable sentry guns (being another). I do believe there does need to be an auto game system response of some kind to extended empire gate camping otherwise we are playing "subspace" and the empires may as well not be there at all.

Like I said in my post I would like increasing waves of npc imperial response fleets coming against a fixed camping position until you are eventually driven off.

There needs to be some dynamism in npc response to keep you guys moving.

In an ideal world it would all be player led, but on the other hand, lets face it, we are playing independent space captains, heroes amd villains here ... not the local plod. It would be boring as all hell for players to play the roles of local system defense in empire with nothing happening for extended periods. Pirates initiate action and would have all the fun and that ain't exactly an equitable game environment.

Basically if you get rid of all npc policing you make empire a void and the same as 0.0 which is bad for variety.

I certainly agree with the guy earlier who suggested a pirate tag .. and like I said in my thread ... I want to be able to kick off on any low sec in empire with no concord interference or sec it.

But yep some loosening up needs to happen ... but on both sides.

I want to hear your wallet squeal when you insure a battleship. And I want to see space stations telling you to "stfu biomass scum" when you ask to dock at them in empire space, and I want to be able to whack any neg sec Biomass I see in empire without comeback.

Would you be happy to pay this price for destructable sentry guns with realistic stats, fixed 30km run-ins to gates and a more sensible (read poorer) concord response fleet?

If you answer "yes" then amazing that it might seem, you and I might be singing from the same hymn sheet.

Quote: So LIAR, stfu. Liar, god damn I hate liars. Liar, funny to lie over a game LIAR.

I must just say Tank that you should be doing all Biomass Public Relations work ... those 13yr old noobs in your corp that keep posting on corp forum are doing you guys a disservice. Seriously ... you are what you are ... abrasive, sometimes unpleasant ... but at least you tell it you feel m'dear.

Take back your corp from those muppets!

I was making a serious point Molly/Sally ... TankCEO *is* M3G4/Biomass ... his style and attitude *is* that corp. He deserves some power and recognition in it ;)

Anyway Molly/Sally, lets not hijack the man's thread ... he made a case, I answered him, lets have a civilised discussion for a change.

Harsh Jash, very harsh. But I do agree that a non-PVP server would be about the worst thing that could possibly happen to this game (after a massive volcanic eruption in iceland perhaps).

A balance needs to be struck yes, and its up to sensible people to make sure neither extreme in the softcore pirates vs hardcore carebears battle gets the upper hand, so that eventually the sensible PvP aware majority can get the game we deserve for our patience.

One problem is that the "pirates" tend to have all the advantages at the moment. The absence of tracking systems coupled with the ability to easily evade pursuit means that we have a huge number of "pirates" compared to "pirate-hunters".

The bounty system is a joke.

And Concord is as much a protection for "pirates" as it is for anti pirates.

This system needs overhauling before a more meaningful balance can be reached.

Tank, do correct me if I am wrong old chap, but did you utterly ignore my original response to your post?

What is the point of continually posting identical threads if you don't acknowledge people that respond to you?

You keep banging on a single track about it being the player responsibility to keep you out of empire space.

 It isn't.

Else why have empires and why have a backstory.

Your vision of empire space is a blank slate with no imperial background and no space empires that are supposed to form the background to our game play.

If you want to come camp a gate where response is entirely up to players to organise a response then by all means come to Y-4 in venal.

Oh thats right, last time you were there you had your ass handed back to you in a handbasket ... funny that.

Look, sorry to be harsh ... but you did wantonly ignore my response to continue harping on about the same discredited spiel.

Listen to what people are saying ...

They think *you* are a whining carebear.

 Think about that.

And then think about game balance.

 Game setting.

 Suspension of disbelief.

And ... wait for it ....

 Challenge.
